A Busy Glittery End To 2013 Continued

We made and played with many glittery objects and observed lava lamps.
 
 
 
 
 
Techniquest came and we learnt a lot about light and shadows.
 
 
 
 
We visited St Cadoc's Church and learnt about the different areas of the church and the importance of candles in church, it was a lovely peaceful visit.
 
 
 
 
We made Christingles for advent and put a candle on our Willow Tree for advent. Every day a different class puts a candle on the Willow Tree for the countdown to Christmas.
 
 
 
We had fun decorating our classroom for Christmas and enjoyed learning songs for our nativity play. We worked hard learning our parts and put on a great performance for our mummy's and daddy's.

A Busy Glittery End to 2013

What a busy half term we have had in Reception. November began with a visit from Tufty and we learnt about crossing the road.
 
We have been very busy in P.E, learning to throw and catch and learning many skills in gymnastics.

We continue to have fun with 'Muck, Mess and Mixtures'.

We investigated how water turns to ice and watched it melt.



We shared a paint tray and made lots of patterns with paint.




We made our own spells and spell books.


We went for a walk around the village to look for signs of Autumn.




We have been doing lots of number activities outside.


Having fun learning colours in Welsh and playing with the parachute.



We had lots of fun acting out the story of 'The Little Red Hen'. We sequenced the story and made bread.All our bread sold out!.
