We continue to enjoy learning through our topic 'Beach'

Beach art inspired by Andy Goldsworthy.

Conservation work using beach resources.

We observed how caterpillars changed into butterflies. We released them into the garden and watched them fly away.

We have done lots of activities to help with our number formation skills.

Enjoying our Summer Weather!

We are having fun in the sun in Reception

In our outside area we have created a beach environment including a picnic basket, dinghy and beach toys to play with. When the sun is out it's a great place to be.

We are having a busy happy time making our under the sea boxes. They look great.

In PE we have been practising for Sports Day. Running lots of races and completing the tricky obstacle course.

Our Beach Trip

We had a great day at Southerndown Beach. The weather was fab and we had an action packed day. We did a lot of walking and saw lovely gardens and views of the beach. We had a lovely picnic in the sun and went exploring on the beach and found many rock pools and many sea creatures. There were a few wet feet but lots of smiles. Enjoy the photos.

Learning through our theme of Beach

We have done lots of number activities using our theme of 'Beach'.

Our school value this term is Friendship. We made a 'Friendship Web' and talked about how special our friends are.

We had fun investigating wet and dry sand using our senses.

We did lots of measuring using fish.

We had lots of fun at the beach.
